Moss Studio is led by Elena Moss, a Melbourne-based interior designer creating timeless residential interiors that grow quieter and more meaningful the longer you live in them. Her career began with boutique commercial fit-outs before evolving into bespoke homes and large-scale residential projects across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. While the scope has grown, her philosophy has remained the same: to create spaces that feel considered, enduring, and deeply connected to the people who live within them.

Guided by natural materials, thoughtful proportions, and an appreciation for light, every home is designed with longevity in mind. Rather than following trends, Elena focuses on creating interiors that feel calm, functional, and effortlessly lived in—where every detail has purpose, and beauty comes from simplicity, craftsmanship, and the character of the home itself.

Elana Moss - Founder & Creative Director

Creating a home is about more than selecting finishes or choosing furniture. It's about shaping spaces that support the way you live, feel, and gather for years to come.

At Moss Studio, every project is approached with care, clarity, and close collaboration. Elena works alongside homeowners, architects, builders, and skilled trades to guide each decision with purpose, bringing together architecture, materiality, and function into one cohesive vision.

The result is more than a beautifully designed interior. It's a home that feels calm, considered, and entirely its own—crafted to endure well beyond changing trends.

Setting the Vision

01. Project Direction

"Our mission is the pursuit of the 'resolved' space, an environment where materiality, light, and structure are so finely tuned that nothing further needs to be added, and nothing can be taken away."

Inspiration found in the intersection of natural landscapes and mid-century structure.

— Catherine Morrow, New build, Carlton

"The level of detail and clarity brought to the project completely changed the outcome. Every decision felt intentional, and the final result is far beyond what we had imagined."

— Thomas Elridge, Full renovation, Portsea

"What stood out was the ability to refine the layout and flow early on. It made the entire build process smoother, and the space feels considered from every angle."

— Simone Vautier, Furnishing project, Fitzroy

"There’s a clear design perspective behind everything. Nothing feels overdone, and the end result is both functional and beautifully resolved."
